As specialists in irrigation, we have developed SmartAudit – an innovative irrigation management tool specific to us at SWE.

SmartAudit encourages irrigation efficiency, improves land manager awareness of the importance of quality in irrigation design and servicing, and delivers real operational, financial and production improvements for our viticultural and winery clients.

Successfully managing irrigation requires specialist measurement – knowing how to take the measurements, where to take the measurements and how to interpret the measurements. SmartAudit, undertaken by our experienced staff, gives you accurate, specialist knowledge you can rely on.

SmartAudit is able to evaluate and optimise your irrigation through providing an in-depth analysis of your irrigation system, pinpointing areas requiring immediate maintenance and those which will require maintenance or replacement in the next two years. SmartAudit also identifies opportunities to improve system performance.

A SmartAudit can highlight problems such as poorly functioning irrigation systems, degradation of systems caused by faults, such as incorrect operating pressures and much more. All of which, if left unrectified, can lead to unexpected and often avoidable breakdowns.

The SmartAudit process involves trained staff and expert design engineers visiting your site and measuring system performance, assessing condition of your irrigation components and efficiency of design, and measuring again specific performance criteria, including:

Uniformity
Impact on crop quality
Energy use (running costs)

Results are then analysed and recommendations (in the form of a benchmark report) are made for servicing, efficiency improvements, and future problem areas.

Where we partner with you to implement the recommendations we are able to retest and report on results – comparing the ‘before’ and ‘after’ for you. This approach incorporates a feedback loop that provides for continuous improvement.
